JBL has released the latest iteration to its waterproof wireless speaker portfolio, the new ‘Charge 4’ (A$199.95) boasting 20 hours battery life and portable powerbank capabilities – all for a cheaper price.

Despite being the newest addition to JBL’s Charge franchise, the ‘Charge 4’ has launched for less than the price of the former ‘Charge 3’ – A$199.95 versus A$229.95 respectively.

“Our updated design provides both added durability and vibrant new colours, making it the perfect addition to any setting, whether that be in the home or outdoors,” asserts JBL AUNZ Brand Activation Manager, Marcus Fry.

Whilst retaining the overall shape of its predecessor, the Charge 4 boasts new modern design elements such as 3D metallic passive radiators.

Available to purchase from JBL online and several local retailers, the Charge 4 is also available in several new colour variants including a ‘dusty pink’ and vibrant ‘forest green.’

Like its predecessors, users can harness the speaker’s USB out port to charge compatible devices (e.g. smartphones, tablets), thereby acting as a portable power bank too.

“Compared to others of its size, the JBL Charge 4 is one powerful speaker, with amazing sound that consumers can both see and hear when the music is playing,” affirms Mr Fry.

The speaker incorporates a high-capacity 7500mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery, alongside a proprietary developed driver and two bass radiators to intensify audio and bass.

For an immersive party experience, users can also wirelessly link more than 100 JBL Connect+ enabled speakers via JBL Connect+.

Taking on the likes of Ultimate Ears’ Boom/Megaboom range, the JBL Charge 4 is safe to submerge under water.
