Chris Froome ponders his less-than-sparkling form at the summit inish of stage 4 of the Tour de Romandie, in Leysin. He'd faded to inish 33rd on the stage, 1:15 behind winner Simon Yates, and 23 seconds behind the main group of favourites. Romandie has been a traditiona­l waypoint on his journey to the Tour de France — he has ridden it every year since 2011, and won it in 2013 and 2014. No panic, said the man himself after his eventual 18th place overall, but his rivals, especially GC winner Richie Porte, will have taken heart from the result.
