3 ALEXANDER KRISTOFF KATUSHA ALPECIN

-

Joint third on the wins list with his May Day win at the Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn taking him to six, the Norwegian is making up for a comparative lack of quality in his wins with quantity. In 2014-15, he was one of the best riders in the world, with wins in San Remo and Flanders, along with two Tour stages. But the wins this year have been largely at smaller races – a stage at Bessèges, two at Oman and one at De Panne. He’s not going badly, and sprinters thrive off winning, but Frankfurt, a new WorldTour race, was his first victory at that level since Plouay 2015.
