2016 DNF

“A TOUR TO FORGET”

The 2016 Tour was a race that I would rather forget, not because of my form, which was good, or failure to check out the route, given I’d done a really thorough recon. It was because of the crashes and injuries I sustained right from the first stage. I instantly thought of abandoning, then I tried to recover, but my body was too affected by the injuries to do that. By the time we got to Andorra I was in a very bad place and I just couldn’t continue.
