Pau is the biggest city this close to the Pyrenees, and the Tour has used it as a waypoint on so many occasions that it feels like a second home after Paris. It’s been a while since it hosted a stage inish: the last two occasions were 2010 and 2012, which were both won by Pierrick Fédrigo from small breaks.
