United Healthcare's Katie Hall leads Olympic champion Anna van der Breggen in both the stage and GC-winning break of the Women's Tour of California. The pair rode away from the ield on the climb to Daggett Summit, with the American climber eventually dropping Van der Breggen and winning by 21 seconds. She took the leader's jersey by three seconds. However, with bonus seconds in play at intermediate sprints, it set the scene for a furious battle between Boels-Dolmans and UHC.
