Discover the Barossa

When it comes to touring a wine region, nothing beats local knowledge. And when it comes to the Barossa, who better to impart wisdom than winemaker Chris Ringland, who has lived there for more than 30 years.

Chris Ringland began experimenting with winemaking as a teenager, taking his passion from his home in New Zealand to South Australia, where he studied oenology at the University of Adelaide’s Roseworthy Campus. After continuing his education under some famed winemakers for several years, he eventually bought his own property in the Barossa. Ringland has journeyed far and wide in his pursuit of perfecting shiraz – including to Europe, where he has several Spanish wine collaborations – but despite his extensive travels, he’ll always call the Barossa home.
