There are thousands of passengers aboard the Avalon, a starship making the 120-year voyage from Earth to Homestead II, a colony planet. When his hibernation pod malfunctions, Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) is woken 90 years too early. Doomed to spend the rest of his life alone on the ship, he wakes fellow passenger Aurora Lane (Jennifer Lawrence). It’s the beginning of a dark love story, fraught with technical difficulties.
