The Past Is with Us

Your 2018 Classic Reads has been most enjoyable! It is amazing to think that some of these stories, old as they may be, could be describing current events. Wonderful people like Aunt Batty still change the lives of many; we are forever reading about online scams (‘Crime by Computer’) and, sadly, murders (‘The Case of the Murdered Mother-in-Law’) and disasters (‘The Sinking of the Comet’) are still part of life. We should look to the past to learn from our mistakes just as we should look to the past for inspiration.
