What do you do with 100,000 confiscated knives? In March of 2019, sculptor Alfie Bradley exhibited his solution to this riddle outside Coventry Cathedral in England. His 8.2-metre-high Knife Angel was designed to call attention to the impact of knife crime while also remembering its victims. The knives were surrendered and collected during a special police amnesty programme initiated across Britain.
