NASA PROBE “TOUCHES” EUROPA 45 TIMES

Violent radiation belts threaten spacecrafts in the vicinity of Jupiter. In the 2020s, when NASA launches a craft towards Europa to explore the moon, the craft must hence follow a path around Jupiter, which will only briefly subject it to radiation. The craft will come close to Europa 45 times, so its instruments can study the ocean.
