Sunspots produce spectacular show A large region with sunspots became visible to NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory space probe on 5-17 July. The region is known as AR12665, and its complex magnetic fields produced several huge solar eruptions. Various NASA satellites managed to take photos of the phenomenon.
