Milky Way Interior Swarms With Stars

For more than nine years, astronomers have been studying 10,000 stars near the centre of the Milky Way to find out how the galaxy formed. This image created based on the Hubble telescope’s archive shows that the galaxy's interior is packed with huge, old, red stars, smaller white stars, and small, young, blue stars.
