Evolution taught us to be wary of venomous animals, according to German and Swedish brain researcher­s. In an experiment with 48 sixmonth-old kids, the scientists showed that the babies’ pupils expanded due to stress at the sight of snakes and spiders. The babies did not react to fish and flowers.
