With a few ex­cep­tions, the coastal re­gions of the world have a more wet cli­mate than in­te­rior re­gions. On the other hand, the oceans re­duce the typ­i­cal sea­sonal tem­per­a­ture dif­fer­ences. This means that coastal re­gions have cooler sum­mers and warmer win­ter as com­pared to in­te­rior re­gions.
