Urine be­comes pure drink­ing wa­ter

The as­tro­nauts’ urine is col­lected and pro­cessed in a spe­cial plant. The sys­tem can han­dle a max­i­mum of nine litres a day, which cov­ers the re­quire­ments of the six peo­ple aboard the space sta­tion at any time.
