Sound is an ex­pe­ri­ence that our brains pro­duce based on tiny pres­sure fluc­tu­a­tions in the air. The more fre­quent the fluc­tu­a­tions, the higher the notes we hear. The num­ber of fluc­tu­a­tions is known as fre­quency.
