Fast can protect you against diabetes
Eat anything you want five days a week. In return, you must fast – or eat less than 30 % of what you usually do – during the remaining two days. The 5:2 diet is rather new, so scientists have not yet investigated it fully, but it seems to work just as well as a traditional diet as far as weight loss is concerned. The 5:2 diet also involves the same health benefits as a traditional diet such as reduced risk of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. But in spite of five days without any rules, the two days of hunger seems to make the diet difficult for many people.
