Fast can protect you against diabetes

Eat anything you want five days a week. In return, you must fast – or eat less than 30 % of what you usually do – during the remaining two days. The 5:2 diet is rather new, so scientists have not yet investigat­ed it fully, but it seems to work just as well as a traditiona­l diet as far as weight loss is concerned. The 5:2 diet also involves the same health benefits as a traditiona­l diet such as reduced risk of diabetes and cardiovasc­ular diseases. But in spite of five days without any rules, the two days of hunger seems to make the diet difficult for many people.
