BACTERIA HIDE IN TUMOUR

-

From the stomach, harmless salmonella bacteria are absorbed and circulated via the blood. The bacteria find the cancer tumour's oxygen-poor interior, hiding from the immune system. Over time, they accumulate.

CROWD CAUSES EXPLOSION

The bacteria have been genetically manipulated to burst, if there is sufficient accumulation in the tumour. When the bacteria die, they release the substances that poison cancer cells, cause cell death, or activate the immune system.

SHELLING STARTS OVER

10 % of the bacteria survive the attack and rebuild the army of kamikaze soldiers for the next attack. The tumour shrinks by one third. In combination with chemotherapy, the patient gets to live longer.
