COVID-19 has brought the world to a standstill.

Border lockdowns, travel restrictions, stay-at-home policies, businesses abruptly forced to close. It has been a devastating time for humankind but an opportunity for Nature, and the oceans, to thrive. There have been many reports of unexpected sightings of marine life around the world – the ocean’s residents are evidently enjoying their newfound freedom!

ADEX Pixel Virtual Expo brought together a group of dedicated ocean defenders to share their thoughts on their commitment to the ocean, their journey, and their observations, the challenges that the ocean faces, their expectations for the future, and their predictions with respect to our stewardship of the ocean post-COVID-19. Joining moderator Jamie Piyada (Thailand) were panellists Louise Hardman (Australia), Gary Stokes (UK), Hidy Yu (Hong Kong), Mithali Dutt Kakar (India), and Anuar Abdullah (Malaysia).
