CIPSA, 1976 (MEXICO)

Cipsa was a Mexican toy company that, thanks to trade laws, licensed and manufactured its own unique take on the Mego action figures in the mid 1970s. These colourful figures seem to be based on the cartoon series (which is a first) and are distinguished by the apes not having any pants – guess it’s warm in the Forbidden Zone. The Cipsa Apes action figures are hard to find now and passionately collected the world over.
