These 14 stories from the Time Lord archives bear a striking resemblance to Earth myths and legends.
Cue Who-themed spins on Midas, the Cyclops, Icarus, Pandora’s box, etc.
The likes of Lucy Saxon, the Macra, the Vogans and Rassilon (four versions!) all feature. As, intermittently, do unnamed Doctors.
They’re slight tales, but enjoyable – especially if you enjoy playing spot the reference.
Expect regular riffs on TV dialogue like “but the moment has been prepared for”, and “vital to the future of you all”.
Highlight: Adrian Salmon’s illustrations, beautifully composed in stark black and white.
Hats off to the author for sneaking a Duran Duran song title into Who canon! (Clue: think “Mara”!)
