The Day Of
Stealing a cue from The Triffids, the film takes place after the titular comet has wreaked global havoc. Surviving valley girls Regina ( Catherine Mary Stewart) and Samantha ( Kelli Maroney) join forces with Hector ( Robert Beltran) and fight to survive.
Downbeat and melancholic, it’s more interesting than funny. But the combo of ’ 80s pop, zombie attacks and a doomy red sky make for a unique end of the world.
