MISING IN ACTION

Characters who are rubbish at keeping in touch

- Will Salmon

Whatever happened to Gendry ( Joe Dempsie)? The last of Robert Baratheon’s seemingly endless number of bastard sons made a sensible choice in legging it at the end of season three, but will we ever see him again? He has a royal heritage, which sets him up as – potentially – a major player.

How about one of his old travelling companions. Remember Hot Pie ( Ben Hawkey)? The orphan left Gendry and Arya, preferring to stay and work at an inn. Come back, Hot Pie, we want to see more of your terrible baking skills.

We’re also still holding out hope that Arya’s swordmaster Syrio Forel ( Miltos Yerolemou) may yet make another appearance. We saw him facing off against a gang of Kingsguard, but his eventual fate was left pointedly ambiguous.

Where the hell has Rickon ( Art Parkinson) got to? The youngest of the Stark siblings hasn’t been seen since season three. Sansa now knows that he wasn’t murdered by Theon, so might a family reunion be on the cards?

Finally, the biggie. Bran Stark ( Isaac Hempstead Wright) and Hodor ( Kristian Nairn) both sat out season five. They’ll be back for season six, when we’ll finally find out what they’ve been doing inside that massive tree for the last year.
