MORE DOCTOR DRAMA

1 You’re keen that the star of the show has some juicy material to play, building on those electrifyingly dramatic moments in series nine. “I’d like to see the character evolution of Capaldi’s Doctor continue, with more standout moments like his speech in the Zygon episode,” says Michael Lupton. Fred Harrison, meanwhile, has a zero tolerance approach when it comes to Twelve’s midlife crisis: “No sonic glasses, no guitar.”

A SENSE OF HISTORY

2 It’s the crucial question – who’ll be sharing the Doctor’s travels now Clara is gone? “Gemma Arterton would be brilliant,” claims Lizzie Woods, “especially if she plays someone from the ’ 40s and has a cool vintage look like Agent Carter.”

MONSTER MASHING

3 You’re not short of suggestions when it comes to the fiendish creatures the Doctor should face. “I’d love the Sea Devils to make a return,” says Josh Pinder. “And as it’s Moff ’s final run of episodes I’d love the Vashta Nerada back.” Mike Copping, meanwhile, calls for the comeback of a foe not seen since the days of William Hartnell: “Mechanoids!”

TIME LORDING IT

4 The long- awaited return of the Doctor’s people in series nine has clearly fired up your imagination circuits. Andrew Bardsley wants “a return to Gallifrey to put right past wrongs, including a brush with a previous Master – maybe John Simm?” Robert William Graham prefers a fresh Gallifreyan foe: “A brand new evil Time Lord villain now that the Time Lords are back.”

THE THREE- ISH DOCTORS

5 You want multiple Doctors in Moffat’s swan song series, you greedy lot. “Bring in Sean Pertwee for a cameo as his father’s Doctor,” suggests John Frahm, while Jenny Hope wants “Matt Smith. I’m a 50- year- old housewife – and I want Matt back.”
