Torchwood’s Gareth David-Lloyd returns to Welsh weirdness in this lo-fi horror set against the bleak backdrop of Snowdonia. There’s a serial killer shearing wedding fingers, the restless spirit of a dead girl and a night radio slot featuring “North Wales’ finest psychic”.
The rugged, brooding countryside is evocatively shot and Siwan Morris is a stand-out as a cynical DJ. But the scattered plot threads never quite cohere and the intriguing premise crumbles into run-of-the-mill slasher nastiness.
