The make-up of The Fly

The makeup effects were the brainchild of then-30-yearold Chris Walas who rightly won the Academy Award for Special effects Make-up. Walas later directed The Fly II, as well as doing the “melting Nazi” effects in Raiders Of The Lost Ark and creating the Gremlins.
