X-Men’s Bruce Dav­i­son stars in this story of a mummy’s boy who de­vel­ops a bond with wild rats, ul­ti­mately us­ing them to wreak re­venge…

More re­strained than you might ex­pect, it’s more of a char­ac­ter piece than a hor­ror, with Dav­i­son in­spir­ing em­pa­thy as the put-upon Wil­lard. And while the rat at­tacks – which fea­ture well-groomed ro­dents be­ing tossed by stage-hands – are com­i­cal, it never achieves “camp clas­sic” crit­i­cal mass.
