SILENT BUT DEADLY

Nathan Mitchell is Black Noir

-

In the comic books, Black Noir’s origin is tied in with cloning. When you signed on and did your due diligence, were you curious if they were going to go down that path? I was, actually. That was the first thing I reached out to Eric [Kripke] about and he had a pretty succinct answer. so I’ve known the direction that we’re heading in since the beginning. And it hasn’t changed. We’ve always been on the same page about that.

Are we going to get to see anything going on behind the mask this season?

I think you’ll see Black Noir in a way that you’re not necessarily expecting to, and that you haven’t seen before. That’s the biggest nugget I’ll give there. I’m gonna leave the rest for you to see what happens when we come back for season two. But I think people will like what we have in store.

Are we going to see Black Noir and the Female going toe-to-toe again in season two? Is there a rivalry developing there?

What I love about Black Noir and the Female is that they’re two silent characters. They inhabit the same world, in a way. I don’t think we’re gonna see a round two of Noir and the Female, but I do think that you’re gonna see Noir go at it. You’re going to see a lot more of badass Noir this season. For me, Black Noir is a combination of [Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’] Raphael and Michelangelo. When he’s fighting, he’s all Raph. He’s all badass. He’ll cut you up in a second and not think twice about it. When he’s not fighting, there’s this goofy, awkward, random figure.
