EDITOR’S LETTER

Here at Signature we have been overwhelmed by the flood of praise our readers have shared for our fresh new look, and our autumn issue promises to only move from strength to strength.

One fabulous first for us this edition is our celebrity cover; and we couldn’t be more excited to have the stunning, world-embracing Angelina Jolie on board. Her latest movie, ‘Unbroken’, was largely filmed around Australia, and while in town she sat down with Signature to discuss life, travel and working behind the camera.

Our travel dreams continue to flourish, and the stories found within the following pages will see you venture from the delights on our Australian doorstep, all the way into outer space – and you can just imagine the array of wondrous experiences that lie in between. From the mysteries of Azerbaijan’s capital Baku to the shores of the Galápagos; the indulgent resorts of Mauritius to the best villas in Bali; hotels with the ‘designer touch’ to the highspeed thrills of touring Europe in a supercar... there are few corners of the globe left unexplored.

I personally had the wonderful opportunity to explore Lake Como, favoured by artists and aristocrats alike, with the divine Susie Westwood of The Brandman Agency (the photo below was taken at the lake’s edge - Susie to the right).

Meanwhile, foodies will discover why Singapore and Los Angeles are two destinations to add to the travel menu, and the style savvy will fawn over the design genius of Rossana Orlandi and Thomas Hamel, the tailored fashions of Savile Row, the growl of Jaguar’s new F-Type and Australia’s lustrous pearls.
