A Show Of Classic Elegance

Between 20 and 22 May, Lake Como’s most storied hotel hosts the world’s finest historic cars and motorcycles during a three-day celebration of automotive beauty. The Concorso d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este has been a staple in the Italian social calendar since 1929, taking a step back in time to admire creations from yesteryear, vying for prizes across a handful of coveted classes. Presented by BMW Group Classic, now in its 100th year, the theme for 2016 is ‘Back to the future – the journey continues’, set to showcase exquisite entrants from pre-war years, rally cars, unique designs and bespoke one-offs for the connoisseur in the ‘Sur mesure et haute couture’ category. The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elégance in California is another event for the diary, taking place on 21 August 2016.
