Louboutin and ukeleles

It doesn’t take much to elevate large hibiscus blooms and ombré frangipanis, the staple motifs of many a Hawaiian-print shirt, from kitsch to couture: simply add a lacquered red sole and sky-high heel. For his latest collection, Christian Louboutin looks to the Aloha spirit of the 1950s and 1960s, captured in Elvis Presley classics such as ‘Blue Hawaii’ and ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’. The Pigalle Follies 120 heel, pictured here, sees the definitive Louboutin silhouette take on a playful edge, marked by the new Hawaii Kawai print in white calf leather.
