Australian tourism’s night of nights

The 2017 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards saw over 700 tourism industry representatives from all over Australia gather this year at the Optus Stadium in Perth to once again recognise some of the organisations bringing Australia’s finest travel tours, accommodation, wineries and events to life. Standouts include Saffire Freycinet, which was awarded first place in the Luxury Accommodation category, sponsored by Signature Media. Western Australia’s Sandalford Wines took out first place in the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries category, while Swan River Seaplanes went home with Gold for New Tourism Business. Paul Hogan was awarded the title of Australian Tourism Legend in appreciation of his contribution to the attraction of international tourists to Australia’s beautiful outback.
