MEASUREMEN­TS 12.5x13.5cm (5x5¼in) NOTES

On the Chart (see p94), each square represents 1 dc st. Read all RS rows from right to left, and WS rows from left to right. When changing colour mid-row, twist the ends of the two colours tog. Pick up the new colour in the last yrh of the prev st. Carry the unused strands of yarn across the WS of the work. The pocket is worked from top to bottom, so the image is upside down on the Chart, to be in the same orientatio­n as you will be working .

Row 1 Dc in second ch from hook and in each ch to end, following Chart for colour changes, turn. [35 sts]

Rows 2-24 Ch1 (does not count as st throughout), dc in each st to end following Chart for colour changes, turn. Cont following chart for colour changes, working the decreases shown below at the same time:

Row 25 Ch1, dc3tog, dc in each st to last 3 sts, dc3tog, turn. [31 sts]

Row 26 Ch1, dc2tog, dc in each st to last 2 sts, dc2tog, turn. [29 sts]

Rows 27-34 Repeat (Rows 25 and 26) four more times. [5 sts] Row 35 Dc3tog, dc2tog. [2 sts]

Fasten off yarns and weave in ends.
