TENSION

11 sts anf 8 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over Basic Waffle Stitch Pattern using a 5mm hook

CUSHION FRONT Ch45.

Row 1 (WS) Work Row 1 of Basic Waffle Stitch Pattern. [43 sts] Rows 2-31 Work Rows 2-3 of Basic Waffle Stitch Pattern 15 times. Fasten off and weave in ends.

BACK Ch44.

Row 1 Dc in second ch from hook and each ch across, turn. [43 dc]

Row 2 Ch1 (does nto count as st), dc in each st across, turn. [43 dc] Repeat Row 2 until work measures 45cm.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

TO FINISH

With right sides facing, join three sides of cushion cover together using a slip stitch seam, leaving top edge open. Turn cushion cover right way out and place cushion pad inside. Join top opening using a slip st seam. TIES

Row 1 Join yarn in 5th ss at one side of top edge, ch35, htr in 3rd ch from hook and each ch across, joining Tie to cushion top edge in the 6th stitch along the edge in last step of htr. [33 htr]

Fasten off and weave in ends. Repeat Row 1, working into the 8th and 9th sts on the same side. Repeat both ties at the opposite side of the top edge.
