Who: Vincent Green- Hite What: Knot Bad stitcher You should know: After falling for crochet at an early age, it was several years before Vincent found the patience to master it. “I finally sat down in front of YouTube for seven hours to learn the basics. This was August 2015 when I was 20, and I’ve been hooked ever since.” Vincent specialises in amigurumi, but has plans to add some very different designs into his portfolio. “I’ve been trying my best to push my boundaries and enter the world of crochet wearables,” he exclaims. “I enjoy trying something I’m not used to, and it’s a lot of fun to wear something I’ve made myself! I have some ideas for the future to try to combine the two. Fingers crossed that they come out how I envision them.”

Picking a single proud moment is difficult. “This whole crochet journey has been the most exciting roller coaster I’ve ever been on,” he says. “I don’t think I could pinpoint just one, but hearing from people that they enjoy my work always hits deep.”

Vincent is also involved in running a successful charity at Randall’s Children’s Hospital in North Portland. “That’s something I’m proud of!” There are also a number of exciting crochet collaborations coming up for him. “A lot of it is behind the scenes stuff that I’ll keep quiet about for now, so I don’t ruin the surprise factor! I now host my own Knit Nights at a bar in Portland, Oregon, every month and you may see some kits of my designs in future.”
