Change to Yarn D.
Round 2 Ch1 (not counted as a st here and throughout), 2dc in next 2 sts, dc in next 3 sts, 2dc in next 4 sts, dc in each of next 3 sts, 2dc in next 2 sts, ss to first dc. [22 sts] Fasten off.
Outer Edging round Join Yarn I with ss into any st of Round 2 and ss in bl in each st around, ss in same st as beg ss, fasten off.
OVAL MOTIF 2 (MAKE 4)
Work as given for Oval Motif 1, but use Yarn D for Round 1 and Yarn B for Round 2.
CIRCLE MOTIF (MAKE 8)
Using a 2.5mm hook and Yarn D, ch2.
Round 1 6dc in second ch from hook, ss to first dc to join. [6 sts]
Round 2 Ch1 (not counted as a st here and throughout), 2dc in each st around, ss to first dc. [12 sts]
Round 3 Ch1, (dc in next st, 2dc in next st) 6 times, ss to first dc to join, fasten off. [18 sts] Change to Yarn C.
Round 4 Ch1, (dcbl of next 2 sts, 2dcbl in next st) 6 times, ss to first dc to join. [24 sts]
Outer Edging round Join Yarn H with a ss into any st of Round 4 and ss in bl of each st around, ss in same st as beg ss, fasten off. Central Edging round Join Yarn I with a ss into any unworked front loop of Round 3 and loosely ss in each loop around, ss in same loop as beg ss.
Fasten off and and weave in all ends.
TO MAKE UP
Glue mirrors into the circle made by the Central Edging rounds on Central Flower, Peacock Feathers and Circle Motifs. Leave to dry.
Place Central Flower Motif so peaks are in line with markers of Round 4 on front and pin into place. Remove markers and sew to front. Place Peacock Feather Motifs with centre of base in line with markers at Round 6 and top of peak in line with markers at Round 14. Pin into place, remove markers then sew to front. Place Circle Motifs so that centre is in line with unused alternate markers of Round 16 (using the markers in spaces between Peacock Feather Motifs). Pin into place, remove markers then sew to front. Place centre of Oval Motifs in line with remaining alternate markers of Round 16 (approx 1cm above point of Peacock Motif), alternating Oval Motifs 1 and 2 going around. Pin into place, remove markers and sew to front. Insert the cushion into the Base and pin the sides in place. Wrap pompom trim around side and pin in line with Round 25 of Base (leaving the last Round 26 stitches free). Remove pins holding sides to Base, remove cushion and sew ribbon in place. Re-insert cushion back into Base and pin seam together. Using a 3.5mm hook and Yarn A, with RS of Front facing, ss into any stitch of Front and Base, ss in each st around to join the Front and Base.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
