NOTES

This pattern is worked using the amigurumi method. Work in a continuous spiral without closing off each round with a slip stitch. You may find it helpful to place a marker in the first st of each round and move it up as you work.

EYE PATCH (MAKE 2)

With Yarn A, ch18.

Round 1 Dc in second chain from hook, dc in each of next 15 ch, 2dc in last ch, working along opposite side of starting chain, dc in each of next 16 ch. [34 dc]

Round 2 Ch2, 2tr in next st, 5tr, 4htr, 6dc, 2dc in each of next 2 sts, 6dc, 4htr, 5tr, 2tr in next st, ss in next st to close. [38 sts]

Fasten off leaving a long tail. Weave in ends from beginning of each Eye Patch.

HEAD

With Yarn B, make a magic loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1 (does not count as st), 6dc into the loop. [6 dc]

Round 2 (Dc, 2dc in next st) 3 times. [9 dc]

Round 3 (2dc, 2dc in next st) 3 times. [12 dc]

Round 4 Dc in each st around. [12 dc]

Round 5 (Dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times. [18 dc]

Round 6 Repeat Round 4.

Round 7 (2dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times. [24 dc]

Round 8 Repeat Round 4.

Round 9 (3dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times. [30 dc]

Round 10 Repeat Round 4.

Round 11 (4dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times. [36 dc]

Round 12 Repeat Round 4.

Round 13 3dc, 2dc in next st, 5dc, (3dc, 2dc in next st) 2 times, 2dc (mark these 2 sts as the top centre of the head), (2dc in next st, 3dc) 2 times, 5dc, 2dc in next st, 3dc. [42 dc]

Using black stranded cotton, sew a nose over Rounds 1-3, just below the marked stitches from Round 13. Embroider the nose over 4 sts on Round 4 and through the magic loop of Round 1. You can use the image as a guide.

Round 14 3dc, 2dc in next st, 5dc, (4dc, 2dc in next st) 4 times, 9dc, 2dc in next st, 3dc. [48 dc]

Round 15 3dc, 2dc in next st, 6dc, (5dc, 2dc in next st) 2 times, 4dc, (2dc in next st, 5dc) 2 times, 6dc, 2dc in next st, 3dc. [54 dc] Rounds 16-22 Repeat Round 4.

Round 23 (7dc, dc2tog) 6 times. [48 dc]

Round 24 Repeat Round 4.

Round 25 (6dc, dc2tog) 6 times. [42 dc]

Round 26 Repeat Round 4.

Round 27 (5dc, dc2tog) 6 times. [36 sts]

Round 28 (4dc, dc2tog) 6 times. [30 sts]

Round 29 (3dc, dc2tog) 6 times. [24 sts] Sew each Eye Patch to the Head. Position the Eye Patch so the narrow end is in between Rounds 5 and 6, the wide end at the back, between Rounds 25 and 26, and there are 5 sts from each Eye Patch to the marked sts on Round 13.

Secure the safety eyes between Rounds 12 and 13 on the Head, going through the centre line of each Eye Patch.

Round 30 (2dc, dc2tog) 6 times. [18 sts]

Round 31 (Dc, dc2tog) 6 times. [12 sts] Stuff firmly.

Round 32 Dc2tog 6 times. [6]

Fasten off and weave in ends.

LEFT LEG

With Yarn A, make a magic loop.

Round 1 Ch1, 6dc into the loop. [6 dc]

Round 2 2dc in each st around. [12 dc]

Round 3 (Dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times. [18 dc]

Rounds 4-7 Dc in each st around. [18 dc]

Round 8 Dc2tog 2 times (mark these 2 sts as the insides of the Legs), 14dc. [16 sts]

Round 9 Dc2tog, 14dc. [15 sts]

Round 10 Dc, dc2tog, 10dc, dc2tog. [13 sts]

Rounds 11-12 Dc in each st around. [13 dc]

Round 13 2dc in next st, change to Yarn C, 2dc in next st, 11dc. [15 dc]

Round 14 2dc, ss in next st, leaving the rest of the round unworked. [2 dc] Stuff firmly.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

RIGHT LEG

With Yarn A, make a magic loop.

Rounds 1-12 As for Left Leg.

Round 13 Dc, change to Yarn C, dc back into the same st as the last dc, 2dc in next st, 11dc. [15 dc]

Round 14 2dc, ss in next st, leaving the rest of the round unworked. [2 dc]

Do not fasten off. Stuff firmly.

BODY

With Yarn C, continue working from the end of Round 13 of Right Leg.

Round 1 (RS) Ch4, dc into the first st in Yarn C of Round 13 on Left Leg, 14dc around Left Leg, 4dc along one side of the chain, 15dc around Right Leg. [34 sts]

Round 2 4dc along the other side of the chain, 34dc. [38 dc]

Rounds 3-7 Dc in each st around. [38 dc]

Round 8 Dc in bl of each st around. [38 dc]

Rounds 9-14 Repeat Round 3. [38 dc]

Round 15 13dc, dc2tog, 17dc, dc2tog, 4dc. [36 sts]

Round 16 (10dc, dc2tog) 3 times. [33 sts]

Round 17 (9dc, dc2tog) 3 times. [30 sts]

Round 18 (8dc, dc2tog) 3 times. [27 sts]

Round 19 (7dc, dc2tog) 3 times. [24 sts]

Round 20 (6dc, dc2tog) 3 times. [21 sts]

Round 21 Repeat Round 3, ss in next st.

Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Stuff firmly.

TUTU

Join Yarn C in the leftover front loops of Round 8, at the middle of the back, with the Legs pointing up.

Round 1 Ch2, (does not count as st), (2tr in first st, 3tr into the next st) 19 times, ss in first st of the round. [95 tr]

Round 2 Ch2 (does not count as st), tr in each st around, ss to top of beg ch3 to join. [95 tr]

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sew the Body and the Head together, aligning the Body to Rounds 15-21 on the bottom of the Head.

ARMS MAKE 2

With Yarn A, make a magic loop.

Round 1 Ch1, 6dc into the loop. [6 dc]

Round 2 (Dc, 2dc in next st) 3 times. [9 dc]

Round 3 (2dc, 2dc in next st) 3 times. [12 dc]

Round 4 (5dc, 2dc in next st) 2 times. [14 dc]

Round 5 Dc in each st around. [14 dc]

Round 6 Dc2tog, 12dc. [13 sts]

Round 7 Dc2tog, 11dc. [12 sts]

Round 8 Dc2tog, 8dc, dc2tog. [10 sts]

Round 9 Dc, dc2tog, 5dc, dc2tog. [8 sts] Stuff the hand firmly, continue stuffing the Arm lightly.

Rounds 10-14 Repeat Round 5.

Round 15 2dc, change to Yarn C, 6dc. [8 dc] Stuff the sleeves lightly.

Round 16 2dc in each st around. [16 dc]

Round 17 (Dc, 2dc in next st) 8 times. [24 dc]

Round 18 Dc in each st around. [24 dc]

Round 19 Dc2tog 12 times. [12 sts]

Round 20 (Dc, dc2tog) 4 times. [8 sts]

Round 21 5dc, leaving the rest of the round unworked. [5 dc]

Round 22 Flatten the top of the Arm. Working through both layers, dc in each of next 4 sts to close the opening.

Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Sew the Arms between Rounds 20 and 21 of the Body, 7 sts apart at the front.

INNER EAR (MAKE 2)

With Yarn A, make a magic loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1, 6dc into the loop. [6 dc]

Round 2 2dc in each st around. [12 dc]

Round 3 (Dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times, ss in next st. [18 dc]

Fasten off and weave in ends.

OUTER EAR (MAKE 2)

With Yarn B, make a magic loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1, 6dc into the loop. [6 dc]

Round 2 2dc in each st around. [12 dc]

Round 3 (Dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times, do not fasten off. [18 dc]

Align the back of one Inner Ear to the back of one Outer Ear, with the Outer Ear facing you.

Round 4 Ch1, dc through both pieces in each of next 18 st, ss in next st. [18 dc]

Fasten off, leaving a long tail.

Sew the Ears in between Rounds 24 and 25 on the Head, curve and sew the Ear flush against the back curve of the Eye patch. FLOWER (MAKE 6)

You need to make 2 Flowers in Yarn C, D and E. Make a magic loop.

Round 1 Ch1, 10dc into the loop, ss into the first st of the round. [10 dc]

Round 2 *(Tr, dtr, tr) in next st, ss in next st); repeat from * 4 times more. [21 sts]

Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Sew the Flowers across the front of the Head, using the image as a guide.
