These mini pines with a sweet star topper will look fab on your full-sized tree.
ABBREVIATIONS
Bobble Leave the loop of Chestnut/Bayleaf on the hook, continue in next st using the yarn indicated, (yrh, insert hook into st, yrh and pull up a loop, yrh and draw through 2 loops) 4 times (there should now be 1 loop in Chestnut/Bayleaf and 4 loops in the alternate colour on the hook), using Chestnut/ Bayleaf, yrh, draw through all 5 loops on hook
GINGERBREAD TREE (MAKE 2)
Using Chestnut, ch2. (Replace Chestnut with Bayleaf for the green tree)
Row 1 (RS) 3dc in second ch from hook, turn. [3 sts]
Row 2 Ch1, 2dc in first st, dc in next 2 sts, turn. [4 sts]
Rows 3-6 Ch1, 2dc in first st, dc in each st to end, turn. [8 sts]
Row 7 Ch1, 2dc in first st, dc in next 2 sts, Bobble using Fuchsia, dc in next 4 sts, turn. [9 sts]
Row 8 Ss in next 3 sts, ch1, dc in same st, dc in next 4 sts, turn. [5 sts]
Rows 9-10 Ch1, 2dc in first st, dc in each st to end, turn. [7 sts]
Row 11 2dc in first st, Bobble using Cranberry, dc in next 5 sts, ch1, turn. [8 sts]
Row 12 2dc in first st, dc in each st to end, ch1, turn. [9 sts]
Row 13 Ch1, 2dc in first st, dc in next 5 sts, Bobble using Gold, dc in next 2 sts, turn. [10 sts]

Fasten off. [16 sts]
Repeat Rows 1-25 to make the second Tree, but do not fasten off.
TO MAKE UP
Place both Tree motifs WS together and continue with Chestnut.
Round 1 (Working through sts on both motifs) ch1, *dc in each row end or st, 3dc into point; repeat from * 6 more times.
Fasten off.
STAR TOPPER
Using Gold ch4, ss in fourth ch from hook, (ch3, ss in same ch) 4 times.
Fasten off and attach to top of Tree.
HANGER
Join same yarn as Tree to the top of the Tree behind the Star, ch30, ss to top of Tree. Fasten off and weave in ends.
