Tangerine twist

Use your new skills to make Becky Skuse’s clever colour contrast boot cu s

-

Designer Becky Skuse says: “Keep your legs cosy and stylish with these two-tone cabled boot cuffs – perfect for giving yourself a much-needed colour boost this winter. The felted tweed yarn adds a fuzzy halo that helps to merge the stitches together, so the cable strands really look like they’re hovering over the fabric. The soft greige background lets the warm orange stand out, but you can use colours to suit your boots, your coat, your wardrobe or your mood!”

NOTES

The pattern uses front post (FP), back post (BP) stitches and crossed post stitches, combined with two-tone stranded colourwork techniques.

All sts are worked into sts of the same colour. Change colour on the final yrh of the previous stitch. Carry the unused Yarn A across the WS of your work. Split your ball of Yarn B into two separate balls so that you don’t need to carry this colour.

To adjust the size of the Cuffs, work more or fewer rows of the Cable Band, then adjust the stitches of the ribbed edging.

You may wish to refer to the chart on page 93 for additional guidance.
