“Christmas is a busy time of year for crafters, so when I was tasked with designing a stocking I wanted to make something that could t around everyone’s schedules. Granny squares are perfect as they’re quick to hook, and they make for exciting projects as you only really see it all come together at the very end. Like snow akes, everyone’s crochet projects are unique in their own way and this jazzy design is my take on a traditional Christmas stocking.” Find Daisy on Instagram – search @daisy_d_crochet.

“My Christmas stocking inspiration came from the vintage baubles we had when I was a kid – those ones made of wafer-thin glass decorated with stripy bands across the middle. I remember unwrapping them from tissue paper in their segmented box, having been carefully packed away by my dad the previous year. I love how the brighter shades contrast against the Pumkpin, so I chose Pumpkin for the background to make the stripes and zigzags zing out. ” Find Jennifer online at pinterest.com/bellyfoot

Lay out all Hexagons with WS facing using the Chart on page 93. Join all the Hexagons with dc seam then dc seam Hexagon sides that share the same letter, eg A to A, B to B, etc. To help keep track of which side joins where, try tying matching scraps of yarn to sides that share the same letter.
