If at first glance you mistook this season’s trending animal, the alpaca, as last year’s trending animal, the llama, you must be feeling some kind of silly right now. Just look at her straight ears and slightly more stunted face! This oversized amigurumi toy makes for a perfect present for a young one.

NOTES

Pattern is worked using the amigurumi method, working in a continuous spiral without closing off each round with a ss. You may find it helpful to mark the first st of the round, moving the marker up as you work. The Alpaca’s fleece is worked with ch-6 loops; see Fleece Stitch Pattern for full instructions.
