Rows 42- 55 Repeat (Rows 38- 41) 3 times more, then Rows 38 and 39 once more, turn.

Repeat Rows 20-55 until piece measures approx 34 (35.5: 35.5: 37: 38: 39: 40.5) cm, ending with a RS row. Place stitch marker in centre FPtr of centre cable, place another marker 12 sts either side of marker and remove central marker so that the central 25 sts (including marked sts) are marked.

RIGHT SHOULDER NECK SHAPING

For the Right Front, Shaping row 1 is worked on the WS, and Shaping row 2 the RS.

Shaping row 1 Ch1, dc in each st across to 1 st before marker, dc2tog using st before marker and marked st, turn.

[29 (31: 33: 35: 37: 39: 41) sts]

Shaping row 2 Ch1, dc2tog using first 2 sts, placing marker in finished st and moving it up each row, work in patt across, turn.

[28 (30: 32: 34: 36: 38: 40) sts]

Shaping rows 3-5 Work 3 more rows in the same way with 1 decrease at neckline edge on each row. [25 (27: 29: 31: 33: 35: 37) sts] Shaping row 6 Ch1, dc in first st, FPtr around each of next 2 FPtr, continue in patt to end, turn.

The patt of 3 sts at the neckline edge (2FPtr and 1dc at neckline edge) will be maintained to the shoulder with the rest of the row worked in patt as set.

Work in patt without shaping until piece measures approx 48 (49.5: 49.5: 51: 52: 53: 54.5) cm from beg, ending with a RS row. Fasten off.

LEFT SHOULDER NECK SHAPING

Rejoin yarn with WS facing in marked st on Left Front. See Right Shoulder Neck Shaping above. For the Left Front, Shaping row 2 is worked on the WS and Shaping row 1 on the RS. Work Shaping row 2, followed by Shaping row 1, then work 3 more Shaping rows in the same fashion with 1 decrease at neckline edge on each row. Shaping row 6 Ch1, work in patt to last 2 FPtr, FPtr around each of next 2 FPtr, dc in last st, turn. The patt of these 3 sts will be maintained to the shoulder to match Right Front.

Work in patt without shaping to match Right Front.

Fasten off, remove markers.

BACK

Work as for Front in patt without Neckline Shaping until piece measures approx 46 (47: 47: 48: 49.5: 51: 52)cm ending with a RS row. Place stitch markers as for Front, then work 6 Shaping rows on both sides as for Front, with decreases at neckline edge and (2FPtr, dc) at neckline edge from Shaping row 6 to shoulder. Work in patt without shaping until there are the same number of total rows as Front. Fasten off leaving a 25cm tail for sewing.

TO MAKE UP

With RS together, ss Front and Back shoulder seams together.

Fasten off.

Measure 30.5cm up from bottom corners, place stitch marker through both Front and Back Body pieces, ss between marker and bottom corners for side seams. After joining second seam, do not fasten off. Turn RS out, dc in each st and seam around bottom, join with ss to beg dc, add a second strand of yarn and holding both together, reverse dc in each st around bottom, join with ss to beg reverse dc.

Fasten off.

NECK EDGING

Join yarn with ss, RS facing at shoulder seam. Row 1 (RS) Work 20dc down Front side neck, (dc2tog) 5 times over shaping, dc in central 15

sts, (dc2tog) 5 times over shaping, work 20dc up Front side neck ending in seam, work 5dc down Back side neck, (dc2tog) 5 times over shaping, dc in central 15 sts, (dc2tog) 5 times over shaping, work 5dc up Back side neck to shoulder seam, join with ss to beg dc.

Row 2 (RS) Ch1, reverse dc in each st around, join with ss to beg st.

Fasten off.

Continue working 2dc in first and last sts of row on next row and every 4th foll row 9 (11: 11: 11: 13: 13: 15) times more, while AT THE SAME TIME working cable pattern (Rows 22-55 of Front) over central sts. [57 (61: 61: 65: 69: 73: 77) sts]

Cont working in established patt without increases until Sleeve measures approx 43 (44.5: 43: 44.5: 43: 42: 42)cm ending with a RS row, do not fasten off.

TO JOIN SLEEVES

With RS of Body and Sleeve together, pin centre

FPtr of Sleeve to shoulder seam and corners of Sleeve to Body side seam. Starting at underarm, ss up and around armhole to opposite side, then ss Sleeve edges together for Sleeve seam. Turning RS out, pull working yarn through Sleeve, dc in each st around cuff, do not turn. Add a second strand of yarn and holding both strands together, reverse dc in each st around, join with ss to beg reverse dc.

Fasten off.

TO FINISH

Weave in all ends. Jumper may need light blocking to uncurl bottom and cuff edges. Lay flat, spritz with water, pat down, let dry.
