Has your jumper got a stain on its character (or neckline)? Hide it forever with this superbly dazzling collar. There’s so much to look at, with popcorn stitch, lamé ties and bright colours – your face will miss all the attention!

NOTES

Collar is worked in rows throughout. Change colour on the final yrh of row before colour change is indicated and fasten off the previous colour.

Ch-sps are not included in st counts unless otherwise stated.

COLLAR

Using Yarn A, ch87.

Row 1 (RS) Htr in third ch from hook (skipped ch does not count as a st), htr in next 28 sts, 3htr in next st (pm in second htr), htr in next 12 sts, 3htr in next st (pm in second htr), htr in next 12 sts, 3htr in next st (pm in second htr), htr in final 29 sts, turn. [91 htr]

Change to Yarn B.

Row 2 (WS) Ch1 (does not count as a st throughout), *htr in each st up to marker, 3dc in marked st (move marker to second htr); rep from * across, turn. [97 htr]

Change to Yarn C.

Row 3 (RS) Ch2 (does not count as a st throughout), tr in first st, ch3, skip 2 sts, pc in next st, (ch3, skip 2 sts, pc in next st) 8 times, ch3, skip 2 sts, tr in next st, *(tr, pc, tr) in marked st (pm in pc), tr in next st (ch3, skip 2 sts, pc) 4 times, ch3, skip 2 sts, tr in next st; rep from * once more, (tr, pc, tr) in marked st (pm in pc), tr in next st, (ch3, skip 2 sts, pc in next st)

9 times, ch3, skip 2 sts, tr in final st, turn.

Change to Yarn A.

Row 4 Ch2, tr in first st, *3tr in each ch-3 sp across to marked st, 3tr into marked pc (pm in second tr); rep from * across to final st, tr, turn. [101 tr]

Change to Yarn B.

Row 5 Ch1, *dc in each st to marker, 3dc in marked st (pm in second dc); rep from * across to end, turn. [107 dc]

Change to Yarn C.

Row 6 (WS) Ch2, tr in first st, *(ch3, skip 2 sts, pc) across, to marked st, (tr, pc, tr) in marked st (pm in pc); rep from * across to end.

Change to Yarn A.

Row 7 Ch2, tr in first st, *3tr in each ch-3 sp across to marked st, (tr, ch2, tr) in marked st (pm in ch-2 sp); rep from * across to final st, tr in final st. [116 tr]

Join Yarn B into the first st from Row 7.

Row 8 (RS) Ch1, dc in first st, (3tr, picot, 3tr) in sp between first two 3-tr groups, *dc in sp between next two groups, (3tr, picot, 3tr) in next sp; rep from * across to end treating the ch-2 marked sps as a sp between 3-tr groups, dc in final st.

Fasten off.

TIE

Using Yarn D, ch100, dc in second ch from hook and each ch across, with RS facing ss around post of first st from Row 1, ss around post of each st across, ch100, dc in second ch from hook and each ch across.

Fasten off and weave in all ends.
