NOTES
Blanket is made up of three Panels. Each Panel is worked individually and bordered before being joined together. Once all the Panels are joined, the Blanket is finished with a Border.
BABY BLANKET
PANEL 1 MAKE 1
Using Denim Dungarees, ch35.
Row 1 (RS) (2tr, ch1, 2tr) in 5th ch from hook Skipped chs count as tr), skip 3 ch, *(2tr, ch1, 2tr)** in next ch, skip 3 ch, rep from * seven times more ending final rep at **, skip 1 ch, tr in last st, turn. [34 tr]
Change to Sage.
Row 2 (WS) Ch3 (counts as tr throughout), (2tr, ch1, 2tr) in each ch-1 sp across, tr in last st, turn. Change to Grey Mist.
Rows 3-5 As Row 2, using Blue Mist for Row 4 and Clotted Cream for Row 5.
Change to Denim Dungarees.
Row 6 Ch3, *tr in ch-1 sp, FPtr around 2nd tr of shell below, ch1, FPtr around 3rd tr of shell below, tr in ch-1 sp, rep from * to last st, tr in last st, turn.
Row 7 As Row 2.
Rows 8-47 Repeat Rows 6-7.
Change to Clotted Cream at end of Row 47.
Rows 48-52 As Row 2, changing colour at the end of each row and using the following colour sequence: Clotted Cream, Blue Mist, Grey Mist, Sage, Denim Dungarees.
Fasten off.
PANEL 1 BORDER
Join Grey Mist into corner before short side of Panel.
Round 1 (RS) Ch1 (does not count as a st throughout), *1dc in each st to corner, ch1 (PM), 2dc in each row end to next corner, ch1 (PM); rep from * once more, ss to beg dc to join. [276 dc, 4 ch-1 sps]
Round 2 Ch1, *htr in bl of each st to marker, (htr, ch1, htr) in marked ch-sp; rep from * around, ss to beg htr. [284 htr, 4 ch-1 sp]
Fasten off and weave in ends.
PANEL 2 MAKE 1
Using Denim Dungarees, ch35.
Rows 1-5 As Rows 1-5 of Panel 1.
Rows 6-10 As Row 2 of Panel 1, changing colour at the end of each row and using the following colour sequence: Denim Dungarees, Sage, Grey Mist, Blue Mist, Clotted Cream, change to Blue Mist at end of Row 10.
Row 11 As Row 6 of Panel 1
Row 12 As Row 7 of Panel 1.
Rows 13-42 As Rows 11-12, change to Clotted Cream at end of Row 42.
Rows 43-52 As Row 2 of Panel 1, changing colour at the end of each row and using the following colour sequence: Clotted Cream, Blue Mist, Grey Mist, Sage, Denim Dungarees.
PANEL 2 BORDER
Work as Border for Panel 1.
PANEL 3 MAKE 3
Using Denim Dungarees, ch35.
Rows 1-10 As Rows 1-10 of Panel 2, changing to Denim Dungarees at the ends of Row 10.
Rows 11-15 As Row 2 of Panel 1, changing colour at the end of each row and using the following colour sequence: Denim Dungarees, Sage, Grey Mist, Blue Mist, Clotted Cream, change to Blue Mist at the end of Row 15.
Row 16 As Row 6 of Panel 1.
Row 17 As Row 7 of Panel 1.
Rows 18-37 Repeat Rows 16-17, change to Clotted Cream at end of Row 37.
Rows 38-52 As Row 2 of Panel 1, changing colour at the end of each row and using the following colour sequence: Clotted Cream, Blue Mist, Grey Mist, Sage, Denim Dungarees.
PANEL 3 BORDER
Work as Border for Panel 1.
TO FINISH
Using Grey Mist and with RS facing you, ss the three Panels together along the long edges.
BLANKET BORDER
Join Clotted Cream in ch-1 corner sp at start of long edge.
Round 1 (RS) Ch1, *(dc, ch1, dc) in ch-1 sp, (dc in bl of each st across to next seam, htr in ss seam) twice, dc in bl of each st to next corner, (dc, ch1, dc) in next ch-1 sp, dc in bl of each st to next corner; rep from * once more, ss to top of beg dc, turn. [440 dc]
Change to Denim Dungarees.
Round 2 (WS) Ss in fl of each st and ch-1 sp around.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Block Blanket to measurements stated.
