Garland measures approx 100cm (39 in) long

NOTES

Garland is made up of a long chain. Flowers are worked separately and sewn into place at the end.

FLOWER GARLAND

CHAIN

Using Green, ch261.

Row 1 (RS) Ch1, *dc in next 20 ch, ch6, dc in second ch from hook, htr in next ch, tr in next ch, htr in next ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across, dc in final ch. [13 leaves] Fasten off.

ORANGE FLOWER MAKE 2

Using Orange, ch5 and ss to last ch from hook to form a loop.

Round 1 (RS) (Ch8, dc in second ch from hook and next 6 ch, ss into loop) 14 times. [14 petals]

Fasten off.

PURPLE FLOWER MAKE 2

Using Purple, ch6 and ss to last ch from hook to form a loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1 (does not count as a stitch throughout), 12dc into loop, ss to beg dc to join. [12 dc]

Round 2 (RS) (Ch4, skip next dc, ss next dc) 5 times, ch4, ss into base of beg ch-4. [6 ch-4 sps]

Round 3 Ss into ch-4 sp, (dc, htr, 3tr, htr, dc) in each ch-4 sp around, ss to beg dc.

Fasten off.

CORAL FLOWER MAKE 2

Using Coral, ch6 and ss to last ch from hook to form a loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1, 16dc into loop, ss to beg dc. [16 dc]

Round 2 Ch2 (counts as first htr), 2htr in st at base of beg ch-2, 3htr in each dc around, ss to top of beg ch-2. [48 sts]

Round 3 Ch3 (counts as first tr), 3tr in st at base of beg ch-3, 4tr in each st around, ss to top of beg ch-3.

Fasten off.

AMBER FLOWER MAKE 2

Using Amber, ch6 and ss to last ch from hook to form a loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1, 10dc into loop, ss to beg dc. [10 sts]

Round 2 (Ch4, ss next dc) 10 times.

Fasten off.

RED FLOWER MAKE 2

Using Red, ch5 and ss to last ch from hook to form a loop

Round 1 (RS) (Ch4, 3dtr, ch4, ss into loop) 5 times. [5 petals]

Fasten off.

TO MAKE UP

Using the tails, sew a button or small bead to the centre of all flowers except the Coral flowers. Sew into place along the length of your Garland, between the leaves.
