02 Crocheted triangular shawl

- Design: Schachenma­yr

Size: Approx. 150 cm wide and 80 cm high. Materials: Schachenma­yr, Boston. Content: 70% acrylic, 30% virgin wool. 50 g = 55 m. 7 balls col 00005 (leinen) 1 ball col 00121 (neon (gelb) Hooks: Size 6 and 8 mm Tension: In crochet patt, with size 8 mm hook 7 tr and 5 rows = 10 x 10 cm. Crochet pattern Work in rows, foll chart A. Beg each row with 3 ch to replace the 1st tr. First work rows 1 to 5 foll the chart, then cont in the same manner. At the beg and end of each row, work 2 tr in the same insertion point and at the centre of each row work 2 tr, 2 ch, and 2 tr around the ch-arc of the preceding row. With the size 8 mm hook and leinen, crochet 7 ch. Work foll chart A. In the 1st row work 2 tr, 2 ch, and 2 tr in the 4th ch from the hook. End the row with 1 slst in the 1st of the 7 foundation-ch. Work 3 replacemen­t-ch to reach beg of next row, then cont foll chart A. After completing the 5th row, work crochet patt up to the end of the 23rd row. At the centre of the 24th row, omit the 2 ch and work only 4 tr around the chain of the preceding row, see also the last gray row of chart B. After completing the 24th row, cut the yarn and weave in end. Now use neon gelb and the 6 mm crochet hook to work 1 rnd around the edges of the shawl, foll chart B. Join the new yarn with 1 slst as indicated by the arrow. Work 1 ch to replace the 1st sc, then work * 3 ch and 1 tr back in the 1st of the 3 ch, 1 sc in the foll row of the shawl, and rep from * cont. At each corner, work 2 sc in the same insertion point, see the chart. On the shorter edges, work the sc in every 2nd tr of the 24th row. Close the rnd with 1 slst in the 1st replacemen­t-ch of the rnd. Cut the yarn and weave in end.
