Here is Weebee, dressed and ready to take care of those who need it most! The doll was created by Laura Tegg, and named after her niece Phoebe – when she was first born, young members of the family couldn’t say her name properly and she has been nicknamed Weebee ever since. Weebee the doll has a big head, shaped feet, hands with thumbs, a lovely round tummy and bottom – and a big following; Weebee is so popular that there is a Weebee Appreciation Society Facebook Group! There are a variety of outfits to crochet for the doll, but we particularly love this pattern that includes a scrub top, trousers, cap, mask, and sensible shoes. The pattern for both the doll and uniform are free in Laura Tegg’s Ravelry store, and you can make a donation to support immediate and long-term relief and recovery from the pandemic in vulnerable communities.
