■ A 4.5mm (US 7) hook
■ A 6mm (US J/10) hook
■ Cushion pad, 50x50cm
TENSION
14 sts and 9 rows to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over half treble in front or back loop, using a 4.5mm hook, or size needed to obtain correct tension

Cushion Cover measures 50x50cm (19 x19 in)
ABBREVIATIONS surface crochet Position yarn on WS of work, insert hook through fabric from RS to WS, yrh and pull loop up to RS, *insert hook back through fabric in the direction you want the surface crochet to travel, yrh and pull up a loop, pull through first loop on hook; rep from * as required loop st Insert hook in st indicated, loop working yarn around index finger of yarn holding hand, slide hook underneath the wrapped yarn so 2 strands sit on the hook, draw these 2 strands through keeping the loop on your finger, yrh and draw through all loops, remove loop from finger

NOTES
Cushion Cover is made up of 2 identical Panels, which are joined together at the end.
One Panel is left plain. Embellishments are added to the second Panel before joining.
CUSHION COVER
PANEL MAKE 2
Using a 4.5mm hook and Sullom, ch71.
Row 1 (RS) Htr in second ch from hook and each ch across, turn. [70 sts]
Row 2 Ch1 (does not count as a st throughout), htr in fl of each st across, turn.
Row 3 Ch1, htr in bl of each st across, turn. Repeat Rows 2-3 until piece measures 50cm; we worked a total of 46 rows.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
CHEVRON EMBELLISHMENT
Use the images as a guide.
*Using any colour except Sullom, surface crochet a chevron shape.
Fasten off.
Join yarn into first st of chevron.
Work a loop st in each st across.
Fasten off.
Repeat from to make as many chevrons as you desire.
TO MAKE UP
Place Panels together, with RS facing out. Join the Panels together with a round of dc, working 3dc into each corner. Insert the cushion pad before joining the final side. Fasten off and weave in ends.
