TENSION
Rounds 1-4 to measure 10x10cm (4x4in) over pattern, using a 4.5mm hook or size needed to obtain correct tension

Resting on these soft, pebble-like clusters would be the opposite sensation to lying on a shingle beach, thankfully! But the bumpy texture still remind us of UK holidays past.

Cushion is made of two identical Panels. Panels are worked in rounds and seamed together over the cushion pad.

PANEL MAKE 2
Using Yarn A, ch4 and ss to first ch form a loop. Round 1 (RS) Ch3 (counts as a tr), 2tr into loop, (ch2, 3tr into loop) 3 times, ch2, ss to top of beg ch-3 to join, turn. [12 sts, 4 ch-2-sps]
Round 2 (WS) Ch3 (counts as a tr), *(2tr, ch2, 2tr) in ch-2 sp, tr in each st to next ch-2 corner sp; rep from * around, ss to top of beg ch-3, turn. [28 sts, 4 ch-2-sps]
Round 3 As Round 2. [44 sts, 4 ch-2-sps] Fasten off.
Join Yarn B in any corner ch-2 sp.

TO MAKE UP
Place Panels together with RS facing out. Join Yarn A in any ch-2 corner sp. Work all sts in following round through both Panels to join. Round 1 Ch1 (does not count as st throughout), *3dc in corner ch-2 sp, dc in each st to next ch-2 sp; rep from * around, inserting cushion pad before working final side, ss to beg dc. [256 sts] Fasten off.
Join Yarn B in any st.
Round 2 Ch1, reverse dc in each st around, ss to beg dc.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
